EPISODE 5 Athanasius Kircher and the Square Root of 2

Towards the end of the 17th century.

As speculative Freemasonry was picking up steam

Many great scholars and polymaths were already more than aware of the Primary Secret.

Athanasius Kircher, a German Jesuit scholar, published around 40 major works.

Kircher hides esoteric information in many of his works.

Esoteric secrets in his books about religion, science and geology.

In 1665 Kircher published Arithmologia, a book on Arithmetic written in Latin.

The elaborate frontispiece is where we need to look.

Recall the 345 triangle used by the Freemasons.

3, 4 and 5 are drawn in the squares.

At first glance, it appears Kircher is referencing this same 345 triangle.

Kircher has intentionally misled us to this superficial interpretation.

Despite the numerals, there is not a 345 triangle here.

Recall the SqRt2 (Square Root of 2) formation used by the Freemasons.

Kircher has placed the numbers 3, 4 and 5 inside the squares of a SqRt2 formation.

This validates the conclusions of previous episodes. These geometric structures are firmly linked.

This is not an accident, and much can be drawn from it.

Some conclusions will become unavoidable.

The SqRt2 formation.

Internal areas of 1, 1, and 2.

Kircher has stuffed the values 3, 4 and 5 into the equivalent areas.

What is being suggested?

The 3, 4 and 5 sides of the 345 triangle become associated with the areas of the SqRt2 squares.

The 1D sides of a triangle, somehow transformed to 2D.

This type of dimensional transformation is encountered frequently in our sources.

We can measure the diameter of Kenning's columns at the top and bottom.

This turns out to be a 4 to 5 ratio.

Additionally, both columns have a number 3.

Additionally, both columns have a number 3.

We begin to see how columns are built from aspects of a 345 triangle.

Consider the sides of these squares with area of 3, 4 or 5.

The sides need to be Square Root of 5.

Already we found Square Roots of 5.

Similarly, Square Root of 3 can relate to the sides of the 3 square.

Kenning's Masonic Emblems.

Remember that the Square here matches this location on the Square Root of 2 formation.

It follows that the rectangular board below is also related to the Square Root of 2.

In the associated book, this symbol is described as The Trestle Board.

The Trestle Board: Represents the Book of Life, or Natural and Revealed Religion, in which the Supreme Architect of the Universe has drawn designs to guide us.

Measuring the size, we find the rectangle to be in the ratio of 2:3

Using line c, The Square Root of 2 formation has this same ratio.

The Trestle Board is built from movements associated with the Square Root of 2 formation.

Can we find this specific design on another Masonic image?

One turns up on this old Masonic Tracing Board.

Behind another Trestle Board.

This new Trestle Board on the right contains a deconstructed Square Root of 2 Formation.

The Square Root of 2 formations are inside the Trestle Boards.

Comparatively, we see a Square Root of 2 on the ground.

The Masonic Man's Trestle Board is on the ground.

The feet are involved in constructing the Trestle Board, which will hold open space for a plumb to enter.

So many different perspectives need to be taken on the same symbols.

The Square Root of 2 becomes 3 Dimensional as a Perfect Ashlar.
